 เช้าวันที่ 9 ก.ค. 2559 เส้นทางจาก..แม่ริม...สู่...แม่แจ่ม...เปิดโล่งต้อนรับการเดินทางของเราและคนอื่นๆ

On the morning of July 9, 2559, the route from Mae Rim to Mae Jam conveniently welcomed our journey and others.

เริ่มต้นตั้งแต่เส้นทางที่คดเคี้ยวมุ่งสู่ยอดดอยอินทนนท์ที่สูงชัน เลี้ยวซ้ายมุ่งสู่แม่แจ่มด้วยเส้นทางที่สูงชัน คดเคี้ยวกว่าระหว่างทางมืดทึกปกคลุมด้วยไม้ป่ารกทึบและหมอกขาวคลุมเส้นทาง

 

Starting from the winding road to Doi Inthanon's steep summit. Turning left towards Mae Jam, the car follows a steep route that winds sharply through a dark, dense path surrounded by thickets and shrouded in white mist.

 

 พ้นจากป่าทึบ พ้นจากหมอกและต้นไม้ที่ปกคลุม สิ่งที่ปรากฏข้างหน้า...เขาหัวโล้นที่ปรากฏเด่นชัด...ป่าต้นน้ำหายไปไหนเป็นคำถามที่ผุดขึ้นในสมอง...

We emerge from the dense forest, clearing the mist and covering foliage. The prominent feature ahead is a mountain with very few remaining trees. Where has the vanished watershed forest gone?.

 

 

 

ยิ่งเข้าใกล้เมืองแม่แจ่มยิ่งชัดเจน...ทั้งร่องลอยดินที่ทรุดลงมา...เนินเขาที่ถูกแผ้วถาง....ต้นข้าวโพดที่กำลังเติบโตและเส้นทางขนส่งเล็กๆที่มุ่งสู่เนินเขาหัวโล้น

 

The closer to Mae Jam, the clearer it becomes—both the eroded earth ridges and the deforested areas. During growth, along with small transportation routes, the cornfields lead towards the foothills of the towering summit.

 

 

ถึงแล้วเมืองแม่แจ่ม...ชุมชนกลางภูเขาที่(เคย)มีป่าเขาต้นน้ำโอบล้อมอย่างหนาทึบ...

 

We have arrived at Mae Jam, a mountainous community that once had dense forests surrounding it like a thick blanket.

 

แวะกินอาหารกลางวันแล้วแอบเข้าไปฟังการประชุม...แม่แจ่มโมเดล...เข้าไปในฐานะประชาชนคนธรรมดาที่อยากรู้...จากข้อมูลพบว่ามีการพูดคุย..ประชุมกันหลายกลุ่มหลายฝ่าย...จนเกิดผลผลิตเป็นหลักการในจัดการพื้นที่ที่เป็นรูปธรรมให้เห็น...(แต่จะนำไปปฏิบัติและได้ผลมากน้อยอย่างไรคงต้องคอยติดตาม)

 

After lunch, we attended a meeting regarding the Mae Jam Model.

 

 

 แต่ข้อมูลที่น่าสนใจซึ่งนายอำเภอแม่แจ่มกล่าวไว้ในที่ประชุมคือ...

The interesting information that the Mae Chaem district chief mentioned during the meeting is as follows:

พื้นที่อำเภอแม่แจ่ม ร้อยละ 90 เป็นภูเขา ร้อยละ 10 เป็นชุมชนที่อยู่อาศัยและอื่นๆ คนในแม่แจ่มยังคงมีปัญหาพื้นฐานคือ ปัญหาความยากจน การมีหนี้สิน และปัญหาด้านสุขภาพ

In the Mae Chaem district, 90% of the area is mountainous, while 10% consists of residential communities and others. The people in Mae Chaem continue to face fundamental issues, including poverty, indebtedness, and health problems.

และยังกล่าวเพิ่มเติมว่าจากการศึกษาของกรมป่าไม้พบว่า น้ำที่มาจากป่าต้นน้ำจากแม่แจ่ม ร้อยละ 40 ของแหล่งน้ำไหลลงสู่แม่น้ำปิงและร้อยละ 15 ไหลลงสู่แม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา

From the study conducted by the Department of Forestry, it was found that water originating from the headwaters in Mae jam constitutes 40% of the flow into the Ping River and 15% into the Chao Phraya River.

ปัจจุบันเมื่อมีการปลูกข้าวโพดบนภูเขาที่แม่แจ่ม...มีการใช้สารเคมีทั้งปุ๋ยและยาฆ่าแมลงจำนวนมาก...ซึ่งไหลลงสู่ลำธารสู่ห้วย คลองและแม่น้ำในพื้นราบ

The cultivation of corn in the mountains in Mae Jam involves the extensive use of both fertilizers and pesticides, and these substances may leach into water sources in the plains.

ที่สำคัญพบว่า...ปัจจุบันเมื่อมีการปลูกข้าวโพดบนภูเขาที่แม่แจ่ม...เมื่อมีการเก็บผลผลิตคือเมล็ดข้าวโพดแล้ว...สิ่งที่เหลือไว้ทั้งซังข้าวโพด ต้นข้าวโพดและอื่นๆ...ชาวบ้านเลือกทำลายโดยการเผาซึ่งทำให้เกิดปัญหาหมอกควันและกระทบต่อคนพื้นราบ

After harvesting the corn crop, the remaining corn stalks are typically destroyed by burning in the fields, leading to issues such as smoke haze and its impact on people in the plains.

 

 

 คนพื้นราบคิดอย่างไร...

What do the people in the plains think?

เราไม่สามารถใช้กฎหมายหรือสิ่งใดๆกำกับความคุมโดยการห้ามอย่างนั้นอย่างนี้ได้ร้อยเปอร์เซ็นแน่นอน...เพราะชาวบ้านยังมีปัญหาความยากจน การมีหนี้สิน และปัญหาด้านสุขภาพ อย่างต่อเนื่อง…แล้วจะให้ชาวบ้านอยู่อย่างมีความสุขกับป่าได้อย่างไร

We cannot employ laws or any form of strict control by outright prohibition with absolute certainty. As villagers still face issues of poverty and indebtedness, how can they coexist happily with the forest?

จริงๆแล้วมีแนวคิดที่เสนอไว้มากมาย..แม้กระทั้งการให้ชาวบ้านจ้างชาวบ้านปลูกป่าเพื่อให้มีรายได้อื่นทดแทนการปลูกข้าวโพด

There are various proposed concepts, including the idea of employing villagers to plant forests as an alternative source of income to replace corn cultivation.

แล้วคนพื้นราบ...ควรหาทางแบ่งปันงบประมาณ เงินทองที่ใช้จ่าย พัฒนาพื้นที่ ดูงาน ประชุม สัมมนาอะไรเหล่านั้น...มาช่วยแม่แจ่มบ้างดีไหม...หากช่วยกันสักวันป่าต้นน้ำแม่แจ่มคงจะค่อยๆเติมเต็มน้ำกินน้ำใช้ให้พื้นราบได้มีกินมีใช้อย่างอุดมสมบูรณ์เหมือนเช่นก่อนมา

People in the plains should contribute some of their budgets to assist Mae Jam. If we collaborate, the future of the Mae Jam watershed could gradually replenish water for consumption and usage in the plains, restoring abundance as it once was.

วันนี้อาจจะพบเห็นอุปสรรคหลายๆอย่าง เอาแรงใจเชียร์แม่แจ่มโมเดลให้สำเร็จเป็นต้นแบบให้ลูกหลานได้อยู่กับป่าได้อย่างมีความสุข

Today, the Mae Chaem Model may encounter various challenges. Let's cheer it on for success and serve as an example so that future generations can coexist with the forest happily.

 

 

สำหรับเราในวันนี้โชคดีและมีความสุขที่ได้มารับรู้เรื่องราวของแม่แจ่ม...สุขที่ในเรื่องราวนั้นยังพูดกันถึงการจัดการดิน น้ำ ป่าไม้ตามแนวพระราชดำริ...สุขที่ได้เห็นเด็กๆ ในโรงเรียนราชประชานุเคราะห์31 แม่แจ่ม จัดทำผลิตภัณฑ์อาหารและน้ำภายใต้เครื่องหมายการค้า “พอเพียง” ซึ่งเชื่อว่ายังคงมีอะไรลึกซึ้งกว่าซ่อนอยู่ในผลิตภัณฑ์นั้น...สุขที่ยังเห็นประเทศไทยมีความหวังอยู่บ้าง...

 

I feel fortunate and joyful to have the opportunity to learn about Mae Jam's story today. Managing soil, water, and forests is the principal topic of the story within the Royal Initiative Projects. It brings joy to see children in the "RAJAPRAJANUGROH 43 Mae Jam" school create food and water products under the trademark "พอเพียง". The presence of happiness in Thailand gives me hope for the future.

 

 และแอบมีความสุขเล็กๆที่บังเอิญได้พบเพื่อนเก่าในป่าใหญ่...ขอบคุณแม่แจ่มและหวังว่าภาพป่าที่เลือนหายจะคืนกลับมาแจ่มชัดได้จริงๆ...

I am delighted to serendipitously encounter old friends in the vast forest. Thanks to the Mae Jam Model, I hope that the lost forest will return once again.
